McKinley Studios continues to grow. We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our Calgary or Vancouver studio. Reports to: Associate Technologist
Experience: 5+ years as a subject matter expert in a BIM technology
Location: Calgary, AB + Vancouver, BC
Hours: Full-time (core hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm)

about you

You are a BIM master. You crave standards, efficiency and clarity. You are a self-starter and possess excellent collaborative, communication, organizational and time-management skills while being nimble and adaptive. Working closely with our highly experienced technical team and talented team of architects and designers, your responsibilities will include acting as a liaison for BIM subject matter both internally and externally, maintaining and evolving our current Revit standards and libraries while communicating with clarity and empathy best practice workflows. The BIM Manager role will monitor compliance with standards, provide in-house training and support, implement systems for communication and data exchange, oversee software and hardware, advise on potential improvements, lead BIM maintenance and troubleshooting for all projects and assist in internal and external model coordination.

your qualifications & skills

  • 5+ years as a subject matter expert in a BIM technology support role in an architectural office

  • BIM Coordination experience on a variety of project types and scales including commercial, retail, high buildings, multi-family and custom residential

  • Strong interest and working knowledge of current advancements in AI

  • Understanding of hardware, software and ability to coordinate with IT professionals

  • High level of experience working with local and national building codes and bylaws

  • High proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam on a Windows platform

  • Experience in Sketchup, Autocad, Rhino an asset

  • Ability and interest in contributing to drawing and detailing on projects when required an asset

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree from an accredited Architecture or Technical program
