Located within the rapidly developing Cambie Corridor in Vancouver, BC, Verdure’s site strategy is drawn from the surrounding inventory of well-loved existing parks and greenspaces of all scales. This includes both formal parks such as the Queen Elizabeth Park and the Van Dusen Botanical Garden to smaller scale private and public greenspaces throughout the neighbourhood.

With the goal of reinforcing existing and future greenways, Verdure is a collection of homes arranged to encourage a continuous extension of the pedestrian and greenway pathways through the site, supporting green connections throughout the Cambie Corridor.

The homes are inspired by the domestic vernacular, drawing from the existing residential context. Rethinking the typical building form of the townhouse typology, Verdure’s stacked townhouses provide 34 homes but appear onsite as 6 single-family homes, complete with pitched roofs and chimney stacks as seen throughout the existing community.
